Locally, nationally and internationally, Alliance Planning has a proven track record of being an integral part of assessing and enabling a better understanding of town planning and planning policy issues that aid in the formulation of a strategic approach to complex spatial, environmental and commercial considerations.

In house expertise in successfully promoting Urban Regeneration Projects across the UK including town centre regeneration, sustainability appraisals, strategic environmental impact assessments, housing estate renewal, major brownfield redevelopment and landmark high rise.

Alliance's strong track record in the residential sector includes a wide portfolio of development sites of varying size, tenures and design of planning applications and appeals. Alliance Planning can deliver housing needs assessments and affordable housing assessments, as well as undertaking public consultation events, presenting and advising at Design Review - Alliance is leading the way on meeting the 'localism' agenda, whilst delivering commercial and deliverable schemes.

We have a significant amount of experience in crafting development solutions in areas that are of a sensitive historic or environmental character and setting. Alot of our projects included Listed Buildings, Conservation Area issues and matters affecting protected species, as well as AONB, SSSI, SPA, etc.

Alliance Planning has a dedicated team responsible for the provision of all aspects of planning advice for natural resources. This includes preparing planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessment's (EIA) for new sites and extensions to established sand and gravel, clay, open cast, limestone, building stone and silica sand sites together with cement, and oil and gas storage facilities.
This area of work covers a vast area of planning related uses that includes all aspects of town centre late night entertainment, to more rural pursuits such as equestrian facilities, narrow boat marinas, to the assessment and recreation of open space in our towns and cities.

With extensive experience in working with a range of public sector clients such as Local Education Authorities, Further Education and Higher Education providers. We also work with clients from the Independent and Specialist sectors of education. Our range of services includes providing strategic planning advice on site selection, submitting planning applications for new builds and extensions to existing facilities, discharging complex planning conditions, and providing professional advice for planning appeals. In particular, in the last two years we have been advising on BSF Programmes.

Alliance continues to expand its portfolio of projects for both public and private health care providers. This includes appraisal of existing sites for redevelopment or expansion of health care uses and also disposal for alternative uses. Alliance has successfully secured planning consent for or advised on a range of health based projects including new hospitals, GP centres, military care facilities and multi storey car parks.

Alliance has developed a broad and varied capability in the infrastructure and logistics sectors working on national, regional and local projects. These include securing planning consents for major transport projects such as the Bath Transport Package, rail access to the national VW Distribution Centre in Warwickshire and dynamic bus facilities to serve Chatham in Kent. In addition expert advice is also provided in relation to the planning aspects Transport and Works Act process, with a focus on rail and light rail projects.

Working on all aspects of planning related retail led schemes, Alliance Planning delivers in house all PPS4 Retail Impact Studies and Assessments, along with Sequential Assessments, Town Centre Health Checks. With a portfolio of blue chip FT 100 Clients, including well known national retail brands, Alliance has delivered town centre, edge of centre and out of centre retailed developments across food, non-food and service sectors.

Alliance Planning has developed a track record in the delivery of large and small scale energy generation facilities for renewable energy and low carbon technologies including wind turbines (wind farms), biomass, solar arrays and anaerobic digestion together with energy from waste and combined heat & power facilities (CHP).
