Bath Transport Package, Somerset
Development:
The Bath Transport Package which includes a Bus Rapid Transport route linking Newbridge Park and Ride to Bath City Centre via the Western Riverside Regeneration Area along with traffic management measures and expansions to park and ride facilities. Alliance Planning is working alongside Mott MacDonald providing strategic planning advice and will act as planning agent in the submission of planning applications in early 2008.

VAG Birch Coppice, North Warwickshire
Development:
Alliance Planning were instructed to free the national parts logistics facility serving Volkswagen Audi Group from a restrictive condition which required the delivery of the majority of car components to be by rail to their national storage and distribution facility at Birch Coppice Business Park, Warwickshire serving the whole of the UK. The facility was built and operated by CEVA Logistics (formerly TNT Logistics) as their premier European facility. As the second largest logistics company world wide, CEVA has a turnover of ?3.5 billion. It employs 38,000 people and operates over 7.4 million square metres of warehouse space across 26 countries world wide. Alliance acted as planning consultants and presented evidence to a public inquiry which successfully secured a more flexible planning consent allowing road transportation as an alternative to rail, helping secure the future competitiveness of the facility.
