Paul Houghton - Director

Paul Houghton - BSc (Hons) LLP (Hons) MA MRTPI (Mobile 07971 826 250) - Paul has 20 years experience in a wide range of planning disciplines in both the public and private sectors and has secured planning permissions for numerous retail, commercial, office, industrial, mixed use and residential developments.  Prior to joining Alliance Planning Paul was the Office Director of Turley Associates Glasgow office and before that worked in house building and as a planning consultant in Scotland and England.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys hill walking and mountain climbing and has a 20 year plan to climb all of the Scottish Munros.  Any remaining time is spent socialising, watching cricket, rugby and football and with the family.

Iain Hynd - Planning Consultant

Iain Hynd MA (Hons) MRTPI – Iain has over 5 years experience as a planner with particular experience in the retail, residential and commercial sectors. The range of projects Iain has been involved with includes work for a number of national clients and for locations throughout Scotland. Iain previously worked at Turley Associates in Glasgow and has recently joined Alliance Planning after a year operating Hynd Planning Consultancy as a sole practioner. Iain also has an active involvement with the RTPI and is currently Vice Convenor of the West of Scotland Chapter.

In his spare time, Iain enjoys attempting to be a photographer, going to concerts and music festivals, watching football and cooking tasty Sunday dinners, as well as relaxing and socialising with friends.
