Christian Holliday - Planning Consultant

Christian Holliday, BSc (Econ) MA MSc - Christian has over 4 years experience of dealing with a wide range of planning matters, including residential, commercial and minerals/waste issues, at appraisal, application and appeal stage.  Prior to joining Alliance Planning at the Guildford office in 2005, Christian worked for a planning consultancy in Kent.
 
In his spare time Christian enjoys current affairs, computing, food and socialising.

Jonathan Halewood - Associate Director

Jonathan Halewood, MRICS CEnv AMIQ - Jonathan has over 21 years of consultancy experience gained mainly in the fields of minerals and waste planning and management, waste licensing and the reclamation and redevelopment of brownfield and contaminated land for both Private and Public Clients.  His particular expertise lies in the project management of major planning and EIA applications associated with complex development projects.

Prior to joining Alliance Planning, Jonathan held a senior position with a major independent multidisciplinary environmental consultancy.

In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys traditional outdoor activities such as walking, cycling and scuba diving as well as socialising, travelling and reading.

Joy MacCoughlan - Associate Director

Joy MacCoughlan, BA (Hons) MRTPI - Joy has over 20 years experience working in both Public, and more recently, Private Sector where she has worked for both Private and Public Sector Clients.  Currently, her main Private Sector Clients are involved in the town centre leisure industry.

Her background experience is principally in development control from grass roots upwards to complex major development projects.

She currently specialises in feasibility studies, planning applications, planning appeals and legal agreement negotiation covering a wide spectrum of development projects and planning issues at all levels in both urban and rural areas and including conservation projects.

Prior to joining Alliance Planning 7 years ago, Joy held senior positions in a number of Local Planning Authorities in the South East.

Outside the work environment, Joy enjoys family time involving extreme ironing!, swimming, cycling, spectating at children's sporting events particularly football, watching sport and films, cooking, gardening and socialising.
Andy Stallan

Andy Stallan - Director and Head Of Office

Andy Stallan BA (Hons) DipUPI MRTPI (Mobile 07977 470 806) - Andy has over 20 years experience in both public and private sectors. Prior to joining Alliance, he was Assistant Chief Planner at Surrey Heath Borough Council. He has also worked at Spelthorne and Guildford Borough Councils. During his Guildford employment he was seconded to SEEDA. He is a Chartered Town Planner and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He is Head of the Guildford Office and jointly responsible for new business in the South East. Andy continues to be successful in delivering planning permissions, both at a local and appeal level, for housing, office, industrial, school and rural projects.

Laura Graham - Senior Planning Consultant

Laura Graham, BA (Hons) MA MRTPI - Laura has over 4 years of experience and provides advice to private clients on a wide range of residential and commercial applications, appeals and appraisals.  She has dealt with sites both within the urban area and the Green Belt.  She also has experience of promoting land through the local plan / local development framework systems and has facilitated community engagement events for public sector clients.  Laura joined Alliance Planning in December 2006 having previously worked for Cluttons LLP in Central London.
 
In her spare time, Laura enjoys socialising with friends and family, attending the theatre and music events.

Tanya Slater - Team Secretary

Tanya has worked for Alliance Planning for over 7 years and her role within the company is Team Secretary.  Tanya is based in Guildford.  She is responsible for the day to day office management and provision of all secretarial and administration support for both Guildford and London Offices.  She also provides a service for the creation and amending of technical drawings for the inclusion in all applications.
 
Prior to joining Alliance Tanya has worked in large and small organisations and has over 15 years experience within the PA/Secretarial field.
 
In her spare time, Tanya enjoys travelling, skiing, socialising and spending time with family and friends.

Monique Foy - Accounts Manager

Monique joined Alliance Planning in December 2005 as the Company’s Accounts Manager.
 
She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Accounts Department for the Head and all Regional offices.  She is also responsible for the preparation of the management accounts and all matters financial, maintaining personnel and pension records
 
In her spare time she enjoys relaxing in the garden, reading, and tapestry work.
