Alliance Planning secure change of use Permission
11-03-2010Alliance Planning have secured a second planning permission this year for Prestbury Investment Holdings Limited, at 77 Cornhill in the City.
On this occasion, Alliance secured consent for a change of use to 160 cover restaurant providing the Client with several options for use of the ground floor and basement of the building, providing letting flexibility and enhancing the value of their asset.
The first planning consent was secured in December 2009, for a sui-generis use in place of a retail unit. The Client had been looking at options for the unit and Alliance dealt with several change of use applications in this respect. In particular Prestbury had been seeking a ground floor tenant for a considerable period of time and Vpod solutions, who provide video-conferencing suites to businesses, showed enough interest to move into the premises on the strength of Alliance’s planning judgement, despite the sui generis use being contrary to the City of London's main shopping policy thrust.
