Extension to time limits and minor modification applications - reduced fees (England)
26-02-2010The House of Lord’s last night passed amendments to the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications and Deemed Applications) Regulations 1989. The amendments provide for reduced fees to be paid when applying to extend the time limits for an extant planning permission or when applying to make minor modifications.
Amendments to the fee schedule are summarised below:
Fees for applications for non-material changes to planning permission.
Householder application, £25;
In any other case, £170
Fee for applications for a grant of replacement planning permission subject to a new time limit.
If the application is a householder application, £50;
If the application is an application for a major development, £500;
In any other case, £170;
The Regulation also provide for a decrease from £250,000 to £1,690 in the fee for an application for planning permission for the carrying out of operational development not falling within any of the other categories described in Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the 1989 Regulations.
