Alliance Planning has achieved permanent planning permission from Surrey County Council for its client, farmer Antony Collier, for an organic farming project.

The development involves the importation of green waste for on-site composting in eco pods, and soils for mixing for use on two adjoining farms both located in the Surrey Green Belt. This will enable the phasing out of chemical nitrates and pesticides. The development involves the importation of 15,000 tonnes of green waste per annum.

This is a very important step forward for local organic farming,” comments Mark Kelly, Alliance Planning Guildford based Director. “If this project is successful it will offer a sustainable solution to Surreys green waste problem whilst enabling the husbanding of farmland for future generations and increasing” biodiversity opportunities’.
