Proposed Extension of Life Planning Permissions Welcomed

The Government is proposing to extend the commencement period for existing planning permissions for large scale development schemes beyond the current three year limit. On the 18th June a consultation document was launched seeking comments on amending the planning regulations to allow permitted but unimplemented planning consents to be extended for a further three years if the development has not come forward.
